I would gather that the other side say they know what's better for America also.

Strange, but I do not know one Republican or Conservative who believes the simplistic views you have contended. 8-)

It will be two decades soon and neither party accomplished a damn thing. No wonder a bunch of flunky lawyers want to run for Senate or the House. Easy money, and lots of it. Even if they become a one termer, they have it made in the shade fot the rest of their lives.
Of course I can't completely blame them, when the country is full of idiots who keep electing them.

Even if we had a Con-Con, Congress would find a way to feather their bed. They do not work nearly as hard as the average guy, except for the free loaders. They should reap the same benefits as do those who pay the freight.

That's what gets me too. These progressives spend years and billions of tax dollars only to ruin entire regions within their state and arrogantly defend it by blaming the other party when the record is clear! I try to look at all this with both eyes open and this is the first thing that jumps out at me!
Why do dishonest democrats [and dishonest republicans] refuse to give this an honest look? Personally, I think that states that continue to support policies that bankrupt their cities, and refuse to be held accountable should also loose their electorate votes and reward states that are doing their elected responsibilities as stated by their constitution on state and federal levels.
