B&H is good. I have the middle flash unit and like it. The most expensive Sony flash unit is almost as much as updating to another Alpha camera.

B&H or Adorama are reliable camera sales companies. I use a Sony a900 - I do have a Sony HVL-F58AM flash as well as a Sigma EF-610 DG Super. The Sigma is fully compatible with Alpha cameras and I like it very much.

Look on the used market for a Minolta 5600HS D flash. It is identical to the current Sony 5800 and a fraction of the price. Try usedcamera.com I got mine for $165. Current Sony 5800 is some $400+ I believe.
One thing to be aware of. The Sony hotshoe is unlike any other camera shoe. Standard flashes will not fit.

Again on used market, look for a Minolta maxuum 3500 xi.This is a smaller unit than the 5600 but equaly as effective. Both the 5600 and the 3500 can be trigerred by on camera flash.
Try 'googleing' used minolta flash units. You should get some hits.

Good luck.
