Anyone that believes obammiecare is only 1,000-pages, has NO credibility. That is an outlandish statement! You have to be an obamabot!

This is all about having, "A one-payer, unaffordable, NO-healthcare system" run by government." What a great way to rid the population of the sick, the old, and the unproductive! (That unproductive part will get about half the population right off the top.)

When the people get to experience an armed IRS as "enforcer, " when they get to experience the loss of freedom to chose, when they get to experience the withholding of care and medicine, when they get to experience the deaths of beloved family members for lack of treatment, then people will see the lies upon lies that they have been told.

Evidently you are one that must have these experiences before admitting this is not about healthcare, but it is about "the withholding of healthcare" and the exclusion of individual freedom. To my dismay, I will be proven right in the end. And, this my last comment to someone that wants to argue "semantics," play "word games, " and spread disinformation. Typical lib tools.

Again, i posted the link to the actual law. I can't make this any easier for you. The actual law is about 1000 pages. Look for yourself. yet, i am the one with no credibility???

Hey Jazbo; I'm going to change one thing I said; before , I said "I think you're a liar" I'm changing that to "You're a liar, a punk, and a foul-mouthed, left coast, libertardian PUKE !

How's THAT for an "allegation" PUNK ? The only smart thing you've done is tom stay "hidden"! Would you like to come out of "hiding" just long enough to get a "complete attitude adjustment", PUNK ?

The only thing you've proven is, that you're a total jerk; (who needs to "be jerked") I'm volunteering PUNK!

Hey Gitzo--check out my updated profile. I have now revealed as much about myself as you have revealed about yourself.

Looking forward to the "attitude adjustment" you promised.

Thats right, tough guy. I'm calling your bluff. Put up or shut up.

Agreed, what other "employees" give themselves pay raises and benefits. Salaries of politicians should be commensurate with their performance.

They should also be given raises by the people they work for. Not vote them selves raises.

I would never pay politicians in the first place! They should support themselves in the economy that we all must work within. I would agree to an "expense account" for an office, close to their homes. They need to forget about living lavishly in Washington at taxpayers expense.
No limo, no benefits, no lifetime retirement. They can provide that for themselves like every other American. Cut-off these "elite bloodsuckers" from the public trough. If that happened, maybe we would get Patriots, instead of criminal opportunists to run government. If there is no opportunity "to steal vast amounts of wealth from the taxpayers" the crooks will not shun government work.

Well this has been an experience. I have ben subjected to all kinds of vile insults and vulgarity, including this rather explicit threat noted above.

My sin? Why having the gall to post a link to the actual law that you right wing cretins are all worked up about. The challenge was prove me wrong. Cite the statute, prove me wrong. Yet no one took up this simple challenge. I posted a link to the actual law, but I am the one who is the liar, and have credibility problems.

This proves conclusively that collectively, you have no interest in facts, or truth. It also proves that you rarely get out of the right-wing echo chamber and you are quite unaccustomed to encountering anyone who may disagree with you.

I wonder if you act like this in real life, or do you save this fact free vulgarity to a forum like this, where you can spout all the bullshit and threats without any real consequences. Such courage.

It has been a lot of fun whipping you hate-mongering bullshit artists into hysteria with nothing more than a link to the actual law that none of you know anything about. The fact is, is that none you you are even worth insulting. To use a literary reference that I am sure that you also know nothing about--the lot of you are full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Look up the reference cretins-it could do you some good. Or, stay in your little right wing bubble where facts cannot enter. Continue to howl at the moon. I care not.

My advice, read a book. I am sure you can find one somewhere.
Although it has been fun, none of you come close to being a worthwhile opponent. I will try to find intelligent life elsewhere. I'm out.

Just wondering, what kind of insurance do members of Congress have now? Is there any reason to believe that they would not continue with this insurance? Why would they need to get insurance from the exchanges?

The political elites (as they consider themselves) should abide by the same laws they pass for citizens! No, they should not be exempt from any law!

The "People's Representative" were not supposed to live apart and create a lavish lifestyle for themselves, trading with "insider information" that is illegal for anyone else, accepting graft, accepting pay-offs from lobbyists, taking kickbacks from contracts and giving away taxpayer dollars for favors. Being a politician wasn't mean to be a "career-field," decades long. Politicians live off taxpayers and vote themselves benefits and pay raises, that must be paid by working citizens..

These current criminals should be only "part-time politicians" AND full-time productive Americans! They need to have their own source of income and run their businesses for a profit under the laws they pass! The politicians should live among their constituents where they can be held accountable and pummeled about the head and neck (not literally) when they make stupid decisions for everyone else. instead of be inaccessible in their lavish ivory-towers where they like to hide, far away from the voter, they should be accountable to those they represent.

Politicians should NEVER be allowed to make careers out of being self-serving law-makers! Take away their benefits and make them earn their own living and provide for their own insurance. "Serving the people" should be an honor instead of a "way of life." These politicians are no better than the generationally bloodsuckers that live off the taxpayers. Kick these "elite bloodsuckers" out and make them support themselves. If they are called "TO SERVE" let that be considered a short-term, duty of patriots....the way it was meant to be.

This is incorrect, congress is NOT treated like everyone else. And, employers can't afford to pay for obammiecare for their employees. Why do you think employers are demoting everyone to part-time workers. The employees have no say in the matter. "Paying the penalty" for not having healthcare is the solution created by government.
Where did we get this idea that you must "pay government NOT to have something?"

That is the million dollar question. I'm still not seeing how ANYONE with brains could agree with this "penalty".

From Minuteman News:

"Arguing federal workers should not get special treatment, Rand Paul says he does not want taxpayers subsidizing the personal health care plans of any federal employee — including Chief Justice John Roberts — anymore.

With some in Congress arguing lawmakers and their staff should not get subsidies to cover their health insurance as President Obama’s health care law goes into effect, the Republican senator from Kentucky told The Daily Caller on Sunday that he’s going to start pushing a constitutional amendment that goes even further.

Paul’s proposal — outlawing any special exemptions for government employees — would mean all federal workers would have to purchase health insurance on the new Obamacare exchanges instead of getting taxpayer-funded subsidies. Some critics say those subsidies amount to special treatment. The Obamacare health insurance exchange opens Oct 1.

“My amendment says basically that everybody including Justice Roberts — who seems to be such a fan of Obamacare — gets it too,” Paul told TheDC by phone on Sunday....
