easier for me to say what I don't like to shoot, architechture and crowded scenes like parades, always seems to be an extra foot or hand or half a head that shows up at the split second of the shutter click..most everything else I enjoy shootin' or tryin' to shoot

For me, it's scenery, nature, or old buildings. You find the subjects dont move around as much, :)

catchin' a true smile, or a facial expression that shows some real emotion is not easy, if the subjects know you are taking pictures then they always have that "smile for the camera" smile..which to me is blah, if you can get them to really smile or catch them unawares it is much more natural looking ..as for landscapes and nature , there is so much beauty out there that capturing it seems almost mandatory if you like photography, but capturing it in a way that really conveys the beauty and wonder is not as easy as it oughta be..but sure fun tryin'

I definitely lean towards static photography. Landscapes, Nature, Buildings. I would love to take portraits, but I'm just not very good at handling people in that way.

I was that way for a long time, I hated takin' pictures of people , cause they just never came out like I wanted them to or thought they should, but I joined a "Meetup" group and startin' learnin' about it from people who were really good at it, now I do enjoy it ..but I still love a beautiful landscape, or sunset/sunrise, flower, and any other aspect of nature that happens to cross my path..or I cross its path

I don't do portraits or wide landscapes. Different things attact me on different days. I will admit to some odd subject matter like pot holes, cracked cement. odd markings on sidewalks or roadways ,clouds and sky with no ground and the front end of classic carss. Oportunities that represent the concepts of color, texture, or lines are also good. Ive been building up a collection of photos of the US flag. I have to give credit to bryan petersons "learning to see creatively" for opening up a world of subjects to shoot I had never considered before.

Birds, wildlife, insects, waterfalls, landscapes, flowers, structures, city scapes, and lastly people.
