I have an old friend that posted on facebook that she wanted to sell her Nikon D60, 2 lens one that sells for 250, case, charger, and other accessories. She wants $450. Good price? What do yall think?
She just sent me the info on the lens...one 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens.
It was bought in 2009.
I know that there are some Nikon users out there that can answer these questions.
Probably a decent deal for a two or three year old camera. I've seen the lenses go for about $90 and $115; so that makes $245 for the body.
edit: Additionally, the 18-55 is supposed to be one of the better kit lenses. Ask about the number of shutter actuations, but it should be OK.

That sounds like a great deal if the camera has never been damaged. I have the Nikon D60, the 18-55 lens and the 55-200 lens and all the toys (tripods, a remote, etc) that go with it. I paid over $1,000 for the equipment I have. I really love this camera.
I have a D60 and like it very much. The kit lens is pretty decent but the 55-200mm leaves something to be desired. I wish I had put my money elsewhere on that one. Unless it has been used a lot, or is damaged in some way, that is a fair price.
I've had my D60 for four years and love it! That's a pretty good deal you're being offered.
I bought mine about that time and cannot praise it enough. I say grab it while you can.
I have never used th D60, but have heard good reports on it. My only problem with owning own would be that it doesn't take the older autofocus lenses. Some of those lenses are really good when it comes to optical quality. The difference is that the older lenses have a coupling that connects with a drive pin on the body that focuses the lens. The D40 and D60 do not have that drive pin. It is there on the D70, 80, 90 and other Nikon models. You can buy some of those older lenses cheaper than the newer DX series lenses that are use on the D40 and 60. As to quality, I don't think you can go wrong witn the 60, and the optics you would be getting with it are really all you would need for everyday shooting.
