I print on a Epson 1100 with CISS systam (ink). I print 8.5 X 11 and cut out small one, but can go up to 13x19.
Just printed a job 3oo pcs. of paper for about $75. cost and over 1000 photos. I like in house because I do it my way. What ever you do, do it your way. MARRY CHRISTMAS anGODbless

Before I bought my last printer I went here to see what ink systems cost.
http://www.cisinks.com/

I purchase ink much cheaper at this site.
There are probably other sites that offer much the same thing.

With all this talk about the high cost of inks and other consumables with a home printer, methinks you could get better, less expensive, and more finely detailed results by hiring a medieval monk who took a vow of poverty, and let him draw the pictures. His PPM would be down, of course. :)

That! or; think before you leap. Just how much really! are you going to use a printer??.

Truth be told, I do not use mine enough, to justify the upkeep. Upkeep being the needless expenditure of ink, just to keep the heads clog free. Maybe I'm a little paranoid, and use more ink in this way than I should. But trying! to clear clogged printer heads; is no picnic either.
