Excellent! Critical focus on eye, strong composition, and good separation of black beak from black background.
My only suggestion is to tone down the background colors on right border, as that area competes with parrot's colors.

Great colors...sharp focus....agree, upper right background could be toned back.

I appreciate and agree with your critique. The only problem is right now I'm not much of a PP editor. I have an old iPhoto editing program on an old and slow Emac. Only other editing tools I have are several Apps on an iPad. Bottom line is I need a new computer and then I will try and tackle more complicated (for me) post production.

What a handsome dude! Great focus and detail. I'm not bothered by the background, and prefer it to the all-black background (of course, I'm a color lover). I suppose slight darkening would be OK.... I'm interested to see the beak detail-- lots of scratches-- has he been trying to pick his lock?
