I am practicing with my Sigma 150--500mm lens and my Canon 40D. The images are all hand held at 800th sec.
They are slightly cropped and just sharpened slightly. Are they good? I really don't know. Any help would be appreciated. ISO is 800, Should that be slower?

It is different. The first thing I always want to do with a telephoto lens is to see how close I can get with it. That image is not touched or cropped. What about the others? Do I need to use the tripod? Another close shot-- Different subject..
