Please,,
Does anyone have first hand knowledge of MAC compatible slideshow software where I can run several hundred photo's "randomly" and create a "Title" Slide and an "End" Slide?

When I try to do it in LR5 it runs the title and end slide in random as well so they show up in the middle of the slides.

Thank you,

iMovie should be able to cope or just go to App Store and check for slide show software

Verified with Adobe that this is a bug. No other software I have looked at lists this as a feature so it would literally require downloading everyone and checking. I have already checked with support at a few and they do not support this

I use FotoMagico which is geared for Mac users. Quite pleased with it as I like to do a lot of slide shows.

Looks like great software. Does not support random or shuffle play. I contacted their support

Have you tried creating your slide show then doing the titles afterward and merging them together ?

sbesaw,

Unfortunately, you are learning the limitations of the Mac, poor programming support for the user. I cannot help you directly with the Mac.

I can offer you a cross platform solution that may get you everything you desire, the neat thing is it will perform on all modern operating systems with a modern web browser.

You can create a web page that will open a web browser and display content on all platforms. You can use JavaScript to display the slides inside the web page, or JAVA and just modify the parameters.

You can have a Title Slide, text titles for each slide, text comments for each slide, and audio background for the whole show.

You can create your slide show and save it on a CD, Thumb Drive, or keep it on your hard drive and show it anytime. With CD, or Thumb drive you can have it auto start and run the show. I wouldn't plan on using it on a Web Site for public access. Not without a lot more work in the backend of th page.

I'm hearing lots of noise about problems with cameras, photos and mac computers... most of it bad.

Try NCH software - they're an Aussie outfit. I use their video editor and their slide show editor - called Photo Show. They may have a mac version they may not. If they do have a mac version it should be available for download and a free trial of 30-days.

Good luck

Uh... try iPhoto, which is on your system, and free. File -> Slideshow... and make sure you click on the Setting button, where you can pick transitions, speed of changing slides, select music, even have it time the slide changes to fit the length of the slideshow to the music.

iMove. On your system. Free.

yes and I spent an hour with Adobe support and they came up with the same results. Title and end slide wind up in the shuffle.

I will look into iPhoto. I need to do this, under the gun after the golf and before the auction. I will not have the luxury of time to get creative. I need to import photos, set slideshow and run it. I have 0 time to do edits.
Will iPhoto support title and end slides? I'm at work and can play tonight. Can I import slides into iPhoto from a LR5 catalog?

Uh...tried iPhoto and couldn't find random/shuffle option. Since this is a major part of my need can you point me to the area where I select it. If iPhoto doesn't supper shuffle I will use LR5 and forego an opening and ending slide as Shuffle is a must. Thanks for the advice. Appreciated
