nothing important...
Hello,,,, reading some news articles on Yahoo.com I came upon this headline....
Father speaks of his pain as 5 held over fire
What do you think the Headline Means..... do you, as I did believe that it meant that the father is speaking of his pain as he "watched??" his children being held over a fire by some method and being killed that way.......??????
Noooooooooo
What it means is Father speaks of his pain as 5 persons are held and being charged with starting the fire....
Just a thought before heading for bed... Why did not the head line writer see the strangeness of the way it was written, and make it clearer...

Just because they got a degree in journalism doesn't mean they know what they are talking about, here are a few of my personal favorites.

Sometime ago I read a headline stating "man arrested on battery charge". Wonder if they fined him for the number of volts.

The bottom line is that the head line did exactly what it was suppose to do, you read the article.

Danilo I agree! I read a lot of online news and rarely get through one without picking up on an error. I think it just speaks to how we are dumbing down. I think we are accepting mediocrity more and more. Perhaps we are actually becoming the movie "Idiocracy".

hahahaha! Sorry, I'm not laughing at you, I am laughing with you because the same happened to me. I've got to quit eating/drinking while reading. It is hazardous to the health.

because journalism is dead, today, they only want to see their pretty face on tv,, or see their name in print.

Isn't "Idiocracy" the new form of government advocated by the TEA PARTY? Someone should suggest that definition to Webster's unabridged dictionary.
