Howdy, just wondering if anyone has tried one of these.

Clever idea, if it works as advertised. The pop up is nice because it blends into the body. This is a pretty big thing to carry around. One of us should buy it and report to the forum. No, I'm not volunteering.

Sorry, even for me, it doesn't mean anything if the restrictions on use are so limited. Yes, I know it will fit many cameras, but for those of us who have chosen to take "the road less travelled", it's just another gadget.

It's not for everyday...it's for birding...and anyone who does bird photography at any distance knows that even with a speedlight...you gotta intensify the beam somehow...and carrying a lot of equipment is the least of your worries....that's a given.

It seems like a reasonable product, especially for the bridge cameras with 1200mm telephotos, encouraging folks to take photos well beyond the range of their in-camera flash. Much cheaper than a good flash, but also much less versatile.

Thanks for putting some thought into the question, I agree it would have it's uses if it does what it says.
Cheers !

Looks like a better beamer for the pop-up-flash. I have not used any of these, because I've never had a pop-up flash. But I have used a better beamer on occasion and they do what they are supposed to do.

Surprisingly affordable, but I don't think I'd use it very often if I had it.
