Looking for a 500 MM lens for a Nikon D7000. Want a decent lens but don't want to brake the bank. Any suggestions?????? Headed for Hawaii...

You said 500mm do you want a zoom or a 500mm if 500mm then look at a 500mm CAT

Sigma 50-500, have one and use it on the same camera, love it

If you are looking for a prime lens look at the Sigma 500mm f4.5.

You can get a mirror lens for a low price, but it's not going to give you excellent images.

That's my suggestion a 500mm cat they are great value

Realisticly, the Sigma 50/150-500mm is the best option for Nikon users AT 500MM. There are a couple good options at 420mm though. The Nikon 300mm F4 W/1.4X and the Sigma 100-300 F4 W/1.4X, both great lenses.
