--- CRENSHAW CHRONICLE ---
Military Action in Syria Not in U.S. Best Interest
On Monday evening, September 9, I announced my decision to vote against authorizing the use of United States military force in Syria. I thought you would like to read a copy of my press statement.
I have carefully reviewed data from our governments highest levels, analyzed facts from our top military leaders, and listened to my constituents, who overwhelmingly oppose action in Syria. I have decided that military intervention is not in the best interest of America and will vote against authorizing the use of military force in Syria."

Taking Pause on Anniversary of Sept. 11th Attacks
Memories and thoughts of September 11, 2001 are part of our nations collective consciousness, and each year we take time to mourn and pray for the innocent lives lost.
We also thank those who responded to the call for help without hesitation and recognize the brave servicemen and women who continue to fight against terrorism at home and around the globe.
In the face of all, we are a nation that never forgets. We are a nation continuing to emerge stronger, more resolute, and more united in our commitment to democracy and freedom.
A Year After Benghazi and Still No Answers
On September 11, 2012, gunmen killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, American diplomat Sean Smith, and State Department security officers Glen Doherty and Tyrone S. Woods in a brutal attack on U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
Its a year later, and still we have no justice or accountability for their deaths: its disgraceful. I remain deeply outraged and saddened and this week underscored my call for a House Select Committee investigation into this tragedy.
Separate investigations continue, however clear answers on what exactly happened remain elusive. House Resolution 36 which calls for a Select Committee investigation would unite all efforts, research, and capabilities, and I am a proud co-sponsor of this bill.
The seriousness of this case demands this action, and I will continue to urge my colleagues to support this legislation so we can once and for all learn the truth of what happened.
