I found this while minding my own business doing the newspaper crossword last night.
I have to admit, the first answer that popped into my head had WAY too many letters in it... (Sorry Ian ;) )

Our little Tilde's made the big time. Once you become part of a crossword you've made it big. Just like Singers need to put out a christmas album and actors hired for Disney/Pixar voice overs. Until that happens your just another face in the crowd.
