I read that the past election in your country was a political "upset"
I don't know much about your system of government, so just what do you think the ramifications of this change will be?
Will this change, if indeed there was on, affect you?

No the election result in this country was far and away from an "upset". It was totally predicted by the majority of the country hence the significance win. We may now get our country back on track. The ramifications (as you ask for) will be that our country is once more "open for business" and wasteful over spending on worthless projects by an incompetent government is over.

Thank you for your timely answer. I thought that may be the case but I have very little faith in our so called news media here, and it is nice to hear from someone who is on the scene.
Good luck with getting your country back on track. I really don't see that happening here in America.

I have to say you have a very optimistic expectation of the "NEW" government... and I surely hope it comes true

The last time this party was elected they also inherited a huge (at that time) debt which they managed to not only pay off but also put A$40billion "in the bank" at the same time as increasing jobs. When the newly departed guys came into power they spent that plus another A$200 billion and we have nothing to show for it. I have every confidence in this new government based on previous performance.

Can you please come and vote in our next election...the "majority" that won the last two elections have helped flush the nation town the toilet? Don't worry, your votes will be counted multiple times, since the party that won the those elections likes stealing votes. Thank you.

Can you spell "hanging chads" and "Supreme Court"? Don't be so quick to point your finger at any one party.

Now that is something I can truly believe. BOTH parties are totally corrupt, bought and paid for, loyal to no one but their masters, and that does not include the voting public.
