Fawn out for a walk by itself.
I saw a fawn by itself outside our fenced in yard. I think it is the one I had posted earlier this year curled up in the yard at my neighbors house. I hope nothing has happened to its mother. I walked into the woods and got within 45 yards and sat and waited as it was walking around eating leaves off the sprouts from this year and watched. It finally came to a spot where there wasn't quite as many obstructions to get pictures and of course it then heard the camera clicking away and took off.
Just nibbling on leaves.
I hate it when they take my picture when I'm eating out.
Time to go.
Excellent capture Gregory.

look at that little charmer!
i guess she changed her mind when she saw you..
:)
Thanks Jim, a little warm in the woods today but at least the mosquitos are down from the lack of rain.
Yes she was a charmer, and it was great watching this one for quite a while before she got to the area I could get some shots without a lot of brush in the way.
Super set GG, a full story in 3 shot , great stuff.

I so hope his mom's name wasn't Bambi, what a little cutie.
Perhaps you could turn off the click in the camera.m Most digital cameras allow this.
Thanks GWR100, I only wish I could have captured more of the story as it probably would have walked around to my right if it hadn't heard the shutter click.
