These are some photos from my first day out on my camping trip. This is my third trip to Jay Cooke State Park this summer. I hiked about 10 hours a day, and took my camera and tripod everywhere. Great Fun!
The First Day it was very cold in the morning when I set out. I wore my tank, a long sleeve tee, a soft shell vest that I use for extra insulation in the winter, wool socks, jeans and my hiking boots. By 10am it was 91 degrees. I had hiked a mile down the river on the rocks as the trail on that side is still clogged with debris from the flood. I realized I could not make it back on those rocks, and I had to find an alternative route before I died of dehydration. Okay, well, I'm being a bit of a drama queen here, but I was REALLY hot. I left at 6am. I got back at 1:30 PM. Water and cold fruit never tasted so good!

LOL, I was suspicious. I wasn't supposed to be done on that end of the river. It's closed due to dangerous conditions from the flood. I didn't notice any dangerous conditions though.
Life on the edge Ah---Live dangerously I say?

You need a little something to keep the blood flowing once in a while.

Excellent set, absolutely love #1

There's almost a touch of HDR about some of the shots. Or is your 6D just good at handling extremes? (I hope you got a rust-proof tripod :-D ).

Thank-you, Wonky. :-D That was my surprise pic. I really didn't think it was going to be much, until I got it home and saw it on my computer. I love those ones

The 6D is absolutely amazing. I love it, love it, love it. I have a manfrotto. They should hire me to give their tripods a stress test. I could wreck any tripod. It served to help me up more than a few steep rocks!!
I had to give it a bath when we got home..LOL
And I know, Wonky, it's probably going to be Wonky sooner than it should.
