Strange highlights on LCD display

Whenever I'd take a picture and look at the 2 second review there would be bright red/white pixels outlining the objects in the picture. This was very annoying and seemed to be getting worse. I started thinking I needed to send the camera (Canon T3i) in for repair. At the very least was thinking it needed a new LCD screen which I found out can be purchased for around $40.

One thing kept nagging at me in my mind though...the weird display only happened on the instant review, never happened when reviewing the pictures in normal review mode. Thinking about it I realized that this happened just as the memory card finished writing the image...I then re-formated memory card...problem solved!
