Kids about to cross the pipeline to go surfing at Rockaway Beach NY. The pipeline is providing sand to the beach to replace what was lost in Sandy.

Crikey! They're keen, surf looks flat as a flounder. Interested to know where Rockaway Beach is, and if the swell gets up there. Jude.

Rockaway Beach or Rockapulco as we like to call it, is within the city limits of New York. Rarely we get 4-6 ft.

Thanks for replying. A year or two ago there was a world tour surfing comp. at New York, I'm wondering if it was there.

Surfed the Pipeline and Sunset Beach when I was stationed there in '66. What, may I ask, made you think I wasn't there?
