I took a young man under my wing about 2 year ago. His Dad was killed and it was just him and his Mom living up the street. He saw me walking through the fields taking pictures and started to ask a lot of question about the camera. We became friends and I asked his mom if it would be ok to take him on my walks. Well I bought him a used D50 and gave him a few of my older lenses. He always was using my camera.:):) He just sent me these in an email. Pretty darn good for a 13 year old!!:) But I am a good teacher! :):)

You certainly are a good teacher, and a good man to mentor a young man. You did good, because those photos are excellent.

He is a very good young man. Always hanging around. And always nice to talk to. I feel like his grandfather.:):) Just trying to steer him in the right ways.:)
