Mahalo,Mstrpurity
It gets good ratings on Amazon as one of four that are supposed to remove malware.
Hopefully the lifetime version won't do that to mine.

Mahalo traveler90712,

I was hoping to hear something like that.My computer is unusable until I remove Antivirus Security Pro.It is malware that looks like Norton but isn't and wants $99 for six months.I wasn't protected for a year so I'm to blame. If it works I'll go ahead and get Kaspersky for year round protection. It's the only one B&H has for protection on there website and my friend Swede recommends it.

I used the free version for a couple years and was very satisfied and have been using the paid version now for a little over 2 yrs. No problems with it and satisfied with the job it does in conjunction with my Anti-Virus program.

Mahalo Frapha,

More of what I'm hoping to hear.I suppose free version's work sometimes but the free AVG I put on my phone just slowed down everything.I uninstalled it today as Lookout seems to be OK.

MalawareBytes Anti-Malware is a highly regarded program, I have used it for several years with absolutely no side effects. I bought a license about three years ago, and it updates itself automatically. It is never turned off.

Mahalo FredB,

That's why I purchased the lifetime version.I'll just get a refund if it doesn't work.Feeling better about it with each response like yours.

I have used it for years. So have millions of others.
The free version does not run in real time, you have to do a manual scan. That is fine.
The lifetime 'Pro' version does 'live' protection.
You still need an antivirus program, it is not a replacement for that.
It is one of the first things I put on a new PC.
Never a problem.

If it doesn't work??? First, nobody should have to buy antivirus software. Secondly, in order for this software to work most effectively, you need to install it on a clean system. Next, you need to keep Windows updated, and finally, you need to change your behavior---unless of course, you buy Apple or move to Linux. :-)

Mahalo rebride,
My laptop runs Windows 7 and I just read some bad reviews about Kaspersky. What antivirus software at a reasonable price would you recommend.
Also if Malwarebytes doesn't remove it I'll probably try the ccleaner

mentioned earlier or another one called co

Sorry I can't get this phone to do what I want it to.Ccleaner and combofix we're recommended for removing the malware.Guess I'll try one after another until it's fixed.

Are you attempting to fix a smart phone or a computer? If it's a computer, then I've used the subscription version of AVG antivirus and the free versions of CCCleaner, MalWareBytes and SuperAnitSpyware for years without any problems. I update my OS regularly as well as all the freeware protection programs but only have the AVG running continuously. Works for me.
I honestly think since your computer is not booting properly. that you need to reinstall the OS and use the repair program that's included from Microsoft before you can even think of installing any protection programs. These programs will not download to your smartphone and then be able to transfer to you computer via upload since the programs for computer are too large and the ones for smartphone are totally different programs than those used for computers.
