Yo Rix,
Have you checked with your car insurance company yet ? USAA was willing to go on National TV in front of a camera to admit that they screwed up.
Can you say that your insurance company has not done the same thing with auctioning flood damaged cars to used car dealers?
Credit where credit is due: USAA has been our insurance company for nearly 40 years and we have found it to be a good company to do business with. Repeated reviews by consumer organizations put them at or near the top. I was surprised at the ABC report, but grateful that it was done. I am sure that USAA will follow up and adjust its procedures appropriately. I would not be confident that less ethical companies would do so.
