Interesting but out-of-date since Adobe announced their new $9.99/month permanent rate for PS+LR through the Cloud.

I understand, I was only offering a bit more information. I still have not found the $9.99 price on the Adobe site. Where did you see it on the Adobe site?

You won't find it offered on the Abobe site's subscription pages until it become live, sometime in the middle of September. What you can find is the announcement of the offer that explains this and other details. Here: http://blogs.adobe.com/creativelayer/introducing-the-photoshop-photography-program/

So a few days to wait yet.

I still think it is a bad deal. I was in Costco last week looking to buy a couple of cans of PAM but there was not any. I ask the supervisor when they would be getting some more PAM in. She informed that Kirkland had replaced PAM with there own brand. I informed the supervisor that I did not think it was a good idea taking away a persons choice of items to buy.

This is the same way that I feel about ADOBE who has taken away my choice. Like Ford, you can no longer get a Moon Roof, it is panoramic or nothing. I would love to buy a new Ford Escape, but they don't come with moon roofs. What happen to giving a person a choice?

How has Adobe taken away your choice?

You still have the option of buying CS6 and having it forever.
You just have to understand that there will be no more updates to it.

Or you can choose to use some other pp software, like Gimp, or Corel PaintShop, or..............

Or you can pay the $9.99/month and get the latest versions of PhotoShop and LightRoom for as long as you pay.

YOUR CHOICE.

PS: Costco hasn't taken away your choice of cooking spray. They just aren't presenting it to you at YOUR preferred location.
You still have the option of going to a 'regular' grocery store to purchase it. Same with Ford. They stopped making "moon roof's", but that doesn't prevent you from having one installed as an aftermarket. Again, YOUR CHOICE.

I don't get your definition, my choice is to get something that I do not desire?

Yeah- Wall-E is right. Adobe has taken away one specific option, but you still have a choice - subscribe/don't subscribe. Then there are all kinds of processing programs out there that do a great job - none as powerful as CC, to be sure, but most people do not use but a fraction of what Photoshop offers anyway and those that do use a fuller set of tools will subscribe because nothing else can do the WHOLE job.

Boy, there is a lot of whining about this! Nobody cares if you like it or not. It is what it is.

NO - your choice is to pay what they want or NOT pay what they want. This is incredibly simple.

My thought is the you get what you pay for and pay for what you get. Adobe is a business which (a guiding principal for all businesses) is in it to make money.

They provide a unique product(s) and have, in this capitalistic sphere, the right to charge whatever the market can bear.

We all have the right to whine about it if we want to waste the time and effort. I, for one, have better things to do.
