More than a few times on the 'hog, Atheists call Christians "flat-earthers" in an attempt to show us as backwards idiots who believe all kinds of fairy tales; that we are gullible.

Well...I guess I thought that Christians believed this at one time...It's been said so much it must be true....right?

Nope. It's actually from the secular world. The idea that Medieval Christians taught that the earth was flat but were rescued from their ignorance by science is a myth.

Yep...pure myth.

The next time some Atheist on the 'hog calls you a flat-earther...point him to this link.

I'm glad I haven't had that experience yet but if I do it's nice to have somewhere to point them. Sorry you had to have that experience.

Here's another piece of advice if someone flat out argues that God doesn't exist, what I learned from Mass is that the existence of God can be proven in three ways: One. A hunger for happiness. Two. A thirst for justice, and Three. A need for inner peace.
