Cannon Beach, Oregon. Every time I moved my tripod, this jerk set up right in front of me. I was so PO'd - I still got a shot, though.

The Jerk

I feel your pain. I was in a line of paparazzi trying to get some shots of vintage formula 1 cars coming out of a paddock for a race. Every time I had the shot I wanted the guy in front of me would lean over with his cheap little camera and stick is elbow out at 90 degrees into my shot. After taking a few shots of the back of this guys sleeve we had a conversation where I convinced him he could hold his camera steadier if he kept his elbow down.

LOVE it, Krajeski! There's nothing quite like the Art of Irish Diplomacy (the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way they actually look forward to the trip along the journey).

Been there, done that! Too bad they guy had no manners. Kind of reminds me of Irving Kipling, Rudyard Kipling's younger brother who once said, "I cried because I had no shoes, untill I met a man who had no class."

That having been said, you made the best of bad situation and composed a great photo!

If you know where he is from, get the picture published, or put it on public display with the title "The Intruder" !! Maybe he will see it and understand!

Nah - he'd probably sue me for not getting him to sign a release. LOL

That is a great shot and I see no problem publishing without a release. The person is clearly not identifiable and you are not using his image to endorse a product which I believe are the necessary points to legal action. Welcome to the paparazzi. :-D

Man I know how you feel. I was trying to get a shot of a stream in the mountains one year and this one guy went everywhere I was right in front of me. I finially sat down on a rock and about 45min later he asked me to move I was in his way. Needless to say I refused to move. I try not to get in anyone's way and I thought he should have done the same. Nice shot by the way.
