Still trying to improve on my B&W. I'm posting color and the B&W to see what other hedge hogs thank of the 2 pictures. I myself like the B&W best. the B&W was taken in raw and the color one was taken in JPEG. same settings for both pictures, taken with Nikon D5100 and 55-200 mm kit lens. Comments welcome and Thanks For Looking.

I do too...prefer the same as you! :)

It's not much of a stretch for a conversion and works really well, imo.

That's a tough call. I like the contrast in the B&W but also like the warmth in the color shot. If it was me, I'd get a 2-sided frame and keep them both. Really a great shot of a good looking dog. Thanks for sharing.

You've made this one a tough decision! They're both effective. The B&W has a classic look and is a beautiful shot (and I don't even know the dog!); but the color shot has that great accent from the collar against the predominantly b&w dog.
If t'were me, I'd mat and frame them both, with a different color mat on each. I realize this is a no-choice choice, but I could happily go back and forth between them without a strong preference.

I prefer the colour shot. The background adds a bit of warmth to the shot IMHO. Nice hound BTW.

My vote goes to the color version - better detail, and the white is whiter.

That's a tough decision! I love them both, but prefer the color shot ONLY because it shows that adorable pink spot above the nose...

JMB6800, I guess it is hard to choose with a black and white dog converted to black and white picture. I thank the red collar adds a lot to the color one but I myself still like the b B&W, Just my choice because I like B&W. Thank you for your thoughts and for looking.

wonky tripod, I agree with the warmth in the colour picture and you can't get much warmth out of B&W. Thanks for looking and the commrnt.
