I've got a photograph (see attached) that I want to print on 13 X 19 (Super B size) paper. Do you have any paper recommendations for it besides glossy? In other words I want a paper that shows as much detail as possible without resorting to glossy. I have an Epson 2200 printer.

I can't give you advice for paper, but I LOVE the photo. Very unusual and different.
Thanks for the tip. Reading the specs, Polar Satin looks a little better for this print because I assume it would be optically brighter.

Thanks for the nice complement. Great macro shots on your Flickr pages!
I have used red river Metallic polar pearl & love it.

Plieber, I'll check some of my papers. I agree with the metallic. I think you want to use a paper that has a beautiful look to the paper since there appears to be a lot of pure white in that photo, you are going to see a lot of the paper.
So you need to show off the paper. You may consider going to a custom printer, since they will have stocks of paper and will know what shows off the print as well as the paper, such as a silk or linen paper. When you don't see so much paper, it's not as critical. Just my opinion, but it would really shine in about 48"x48".
Good luck. SS

I've always used Epson's Presentation Matte. Always got great details in prints without glare, etc. Museum I shot for loved the way the prints looked. Still use it. :-)

If that were my photo I would print on glossy for sharpness and then use Laquer-Mat. I just used it on a shot of the lighting sculpture on the west span of the Bay Bridge leading to SF and it gives a finish so superb you will be stunned!
www.lacquer-mat.com or (800)924-2223. If you use it apply three coats 5 min apart. Let me know what you think after, I know you will be very pleased.
SharpShooter, your advice is always a teaching moment. I always learn something.
