Does any one have any opinions regarding the 70d now that is available. I'm interested but need to hear what real users think about the camera before buying one. Thanks in advance
I had my 70 d for about week and so far I love it. The movies option is just perfect. That was my main reason for buying this camera. I can adjust the lenses' zoom , aperture and f stop and then start the video. So far this is all I have played with. I think maybe there should be a new topic discussion here about this new camera. My one year old granddaughter is visiting with us this weekend at the beach and I plan to take advantage of my new camera with videos and photo just at my fingertips. If you decide to buy one I think is worth the expense if you enjoy taking videos. I'll try to post more of my experiences as I learn. I am slow learner but I am enjoying every minute with this camera.

I just posted an in-depth review of the Canon 70D. Check it out on Links and Resources

I recently got one and so far it is great. It focuses and shoots extremely quickly, is great for both video and stills and seems to be good in low light situations. I have a T4i also and did not think I would like the touch screen but I have learned to love it and would really miss it if it were gone. Don't worry about getting the screen scratched or dirty. People witn basic common sense and reasonable hygene habits should not have a problem with it. One feature that I like is that when reviewing a shot it can show where the focus point was. There are quite a few other bells and whistles that may or may not be of use to you.
The camera is smaller and lighter than a 7D, which is nice for me, but it also has many of the same features as the 7D. It is not like carrying a piece of furnature around like some cameras are. Haven't tried the wifi yet but that could be a real benefit in certain situations.
My only complaint so far is that my version of Photoshop does not recognize this camera's CR2 files and Adobe does not yet have a DNG converter for it.
I wonder if anyone knows when they plan to issue a new converter?
My second "only complaint" is the usual, I don't like the editing software that comes with the camera.
Depending upon your uses I think you can't go very far wrong with this camera.
