I have done hundreds of street portraits around West Virginia over the past year.
Portrait one was taken today in Dodridge county on the way to Parkersburg WV. I went to Parkersburg to shoot some stock for some composites I'm doing.
Picture two was taken several weeks ago in downtown morgantown.

Great set Russ, love the character in their faces and in the second one the man's eyes are just smiling.

Fantastic as usual...well done.
Competed in a rifle shoot at WVU back in '68 while attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania. All I remember is driving the team over the winding mountain roads to get there. No point to this...just dusting off an old memory. ;-)

You got it Joe. This one was done using the mid-tone base B&W conversion methods. Strong contrasty mid-tones. No real white point.... with an underexposed look...Works real good on a black background.
