Foggy morning

Started to work one morning in a beautiful clear day as I got closer to Portland the fog had settled in, it was really eerie in the fact that at one point I could not see the bridge and then 2 seconds later it was there, the ship is at the tank pier and then it disappeared in the fog then boom it was back...freaky, by the way for those of you who know the area this is one of the perks of my job access to areas not publicly accessible, this area is over off behind the tracks where a new boat yard is going after they clean up the old tar plant

Hi DugE,
How depressing...my wife and I are going to visit your area next Tuesday for the first time. Looking at the weather forecast you have had a lot of rain and there is more to come. Not exactly what we were hoping for. We see enough of that stuff here at home. We live just outside of Portland, Oregon. Beings you are from that area what would your top five things to see or do be? We are staying in Cape Elizabeth on Shore Rd. where ever that is. I don't think it is far from Portland Head Lighthouse. Besides the lighthouse could you suggest any great photo ops in that area? I was told the fog horn blows every fifteen minutes. Is that true? So much for a good nights sleep. I enjoyed your pictures. Fog makes for great effects.

Hi DugE, br How depressing...my wife and I are goi... (show quote)

We have a saying here " if you don't like the weather wait fifteen minutes it will change", Maine has different climates with in just an hour drive, you can go up into the mountains (hills to you) and then up into the woods or out along the shore, we even have a desert, The spot you are staying in is really nice, half hour to 45 minutes drive from there will put you into Old Orchard, Freeport, sebago lake area, or you can take a day trip and go along rte 1 and be in Boothbay, Camden, or Rockport (payton place), which is also the home of Maine Photographic Workshop which has changed it's name again, Not knowing what exactly you are after for pics I can only give you the "tourist" version of the area, if you are in Portland and you see a white car that says On Target Utility services on side stop me I'll talk to ya. Best of all have fun, this is a beautiful state
