These turned out sharp. So, it is not the camera (of course) it is me and how close my feet get to the subject. But with the hummingbirds I couldn't get closer and if I added the 1.4 doubler I could not get the camera to focus unless I backed off the lens. Any thoughts?

Ive found if you get about 10/12 feet from your subject you will get them in focus any closer,no chance.Your lens, for me is the best on the market,it proves it with these pics,It isnt just for long distance.I'm really made up for you to get these shots.Well done.

Criticism need never be harsh! I like your images, though personally I'd have left a bit more breathing room, especially around the butterfly subjects.

Is was so excited to be able to get a sharp closeup I forgot to back off the crop a bit. Thanks Linda!

Great depth of field - better than I can get with my macro lens. Please educate me - what is the "big sig"?
