My wife and I have two new Great Grand Daughters, and they are named:

Kylie Alexandra and Brooklyn Rae

No they are not twins. Their Mothers are cousins.

I am having a hard time getting used to the name Brooklyn. How many of you have heard of that for a girl?

In case you are wondering, these are numbers 13 and 14 "Greats" for us.

Just use Brook. That's what her friends will call her. :-)

One of my favorite waitresses is a regal redhead named Brooklyn.

The love you speak when you utter their names make all of the difference in the world! It will be as natural as calling her Deer Running Two Feet.

One of my daughters had a classmate named Latrina....consider yourself lucky. Brook will go well. My third grandson is named Reuben. I have no idea why my daughter liked that one. I kinda liked Steve, myself....esp. since her first was named after her husband's father.

I love the name as well as Dakota for a boys name. The names make them standout from others. My name is John and when I went to school there was at least 4 to 5 boys with the same name so now I just go by Jack.

Thanks everyone for your responses! They are both little darlings, and I am getting used to their names.

I think it is better for the kids to be mix up by having the same name as others.
