Yosemite Conservancy
Dear Yosemite Conservancy Supporter,
The Rim Fire has scorched over 200,000 acres, including areas inside Yosemite National Park. The Conservancy is monitoring the fire and is in close contact with the National Park Service. As always our work is to support Yosemite, and we are ready to help however we can.
Photographer Kristal Leonard captured this inspirational photo of the Big Dipper poised above the Rim Fire with a wish for the "Big Dipper to be filled with water and poured out over this massive fire." This image expresses our unwavering support for the safety of the brave firefighters battling the flames and with the residents who have been negatively affected by this incident.
Please join us in thanking all of the firefighters and emergency personnel working to protect our beloved Yosemite National Park.

Wow! This is a beautiful photo and so appropriate for this devastating fire.
I just did a post on my blog today in appreciation of the firefighters and the work they do.
This fire is only 32% contained today. Hopefully it will be contained by the middle of Sept.

Thank you and bless everyone involved!
