It is not a chickadee! It appears to be an Eastern Phoebe. They reach all the way to Montana.

Nice capture, however, it is not a chickadee. From the photo it looks like an Eastern Kingbird, possabily a first year bird. Their flight pattern is distinctive and they have a white band on the end of the tail.

Definitely not a black-capped chickadee; I'm leaning towards eastern kingbird too. Saw some here recently. Cutie, though!

Looked at some old pics I took of the Eastern Kingbird, and you are right on!

LOL that's where I usually find my glasses. I should know it wasn't a chickadee. I live in northern Michigan and I have 5 bird feeders and see the chickadees all the time, (DUH)... anyway have fun with the bird photography
