Thanks for posting the link. I collect airmail stamps and first day covers. There is a lot of interesting history in the early years of airmail. I don't believe many folks know that the post office even experimented with flying post offices shortly after WWII. They were set up to replicate the old mail cars used on the railroad with mail being sorted enroute. It didn't work out for various reasons. I have a couple of covers that were mailed aboard one of those experimental flights.
