You have hit everyone's hot button. We're all waiting for the link.
Another option comes from Popular Photography magazine. They have a series of DVDs whth photo lessons on them. They run about $13 each. Check their web site
www.popphoto.com .
Would love to have the link for the free online class as well. Thank you!

Hi Snowbear, can you please send me the link to the online course.Thank you have a great day
Wow. I try not to advertise other sites here, but with a sizable interest:
The online course is at
www.morguefile.com - a morgue file is a publishing term for an archive. The site's main purpose is a royalty free stock photo site for reference images or for creating larger creative pieces.
The course is called Jodie Coston's Photo Course, and can be found in "Classroom" from the main page. The instructions say to email Jodie - Don't - she is no longer active. Just dive in and post your assignments, or (better yet) say "hello" in the Introduction area of the forum.
The course is self-paced (it took me about two years to finish), and will give you some basics: composition, exposure, landscape/travel, filters, optics. Nothing very complicated, but a good start.
Things have been pretty quiet there , but we try to check postings once a day or so, but be patient if you don't get a response right away (I am a volunteer moderator).
Great material.... excited to get started :!:
I'm getting a 404 missing page notice. Maybe site is being overloaded.
thank you very much =^..^=
