I needed a portrait of a male using artificial light for an assignment. thought id try this but not sure if im gonna use it, :-D

Definitely gutsy!! I like it. The eyes look a bit soft to me or perhaps the depth of field is a bit narrow.

You did a good job. It's hard to beat a 50mm lens for portrait work. I use mine more than any other lens. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for looking john, only got the lens a few days ago and with the pics i got today of my granddaughter as well as me looks like its gonna earn its keep. :thumbup:

To be likened to the great John Wayne, quite an honour. Although he looks quite old in that photo.... :-D
