Now Now, we'll be back, I'v been saying this for about 11 years now. Wev'e just been taken over again by people who have no money for players. Good innit? We have had a few ozzies, the most notable were Harry Kewel and Mark Viduka, I am sure you will know that anyway they both played for your country.

Graham, that's bloody awesome .... if you weren't so far away I'd pop over! My collection amounts to "You get Nowt for Being Second" by Billy Bremner, a couple of videos, a scarf and rosette and a box of photos. By the way, I must say I'm a bit disappointed that leeds seem to keep giving employment to sacked managers.

You are spot on about the sacked managers. I did mention they have been taken over and thank God, got rid of Ken Bates.
The old chairman. But, as we were expecting the new owners to have pots of cash and buy some really good players and get a successful manager it's all gone tits up. They have no money for players, they have to employ sacked second rate managers because they have to do every thing on the cheap. Since they were relegated from the premiership when the gates were 35,000 plus, they are now around the 23,000 mark and dwindling further. The current squad is pathetic, you remember, Sprake, Reaney, Cooper, Bremner, Charlton, Hunter, Lorimer, Giles, Jones, Clarke, Gray, and the man who played in every position except goalkeeper Paul Madeley. Don Revie used to call him the Rolls Royce. Those were the days eh? Paul. It's 7.15 here it must be getting on for 4.15 pm with you. I hope you have had a good day so far. If you did pop over I have a well stocked bar and you could spend hours looking through the files that are in the photo's there are hundreds of programmes dating back to 1949. The bottom shelf contains a mass of stuff on John Charles who I knew for many a year. Harold Williams who was John Charles best friend, Iv'e known since I was 9 years old and my old pal Dave McCadam. Both the latter mentioned players are still with us and both almost 90 years old. I'm pleased you liked the photographs.
Cheers for now,
Graham

Once a Leeds fan, always a leeds fan. Everyone remembers the photograph of Billy Bremner, exhausted on his knees after losing in one of the finals. I'd bet my house you know what I'm talking about. Yorkshire Stingos, I have never heard of that Paul. Is it beer? If you let me have your email address on a PM, I will arrange to send you a Leeds United programme signed by the late great John Charles.

Graham the one weak link in the Leeds team was Sprake, if they had put Harvey in a whole lot sooner they would have won more than they did. We used to look forward to seeing Leeds at the hawthorns always a great game.

You could be spot on, he made unbelievable clangers, always in vital games. Do you remember at Anfield when he threw the ball into his own net, when the teams came out for the second half the fans were singing careless hands, Sprake made 502 appearances for Leeds and Harvey made 446 appearances. I do believe even Revie admitted what you said about Gary Sprake, he should have played Harvey more than he did. It's a bit late now oldmalky isn't it. I remember we were going to buy one of your top players but at the medical he was found to have an hole in his heart and they wouldn't sign him because of this. He was great little player with blond hair. You will remember his name I'm sure. I have just remembered it was Asa Hartford. I think a few WBA hearts would have been broken if we had signed him. Asa went on as you see below as a manager. At 5' 7" he was a great little midfielder. Our bet midfield were Bremner and Giles
