This is an exact and I mean exact replica of my Step-Fathers workshop that he had in Western Springs, IL before he married my Mother.. This was a gift to him from his Mother who contracted someone to build this in 1980.. I was in the basement a few times and again right down to the comic strips taped on the wall this is what I saw..I posted one photo with a soda can to give perspective to the size of the room.. My Step-Father John who was a great man has since passed and this room is now in my possession and it has sentimental value to myself and my family.. I hope you enjoy the photos..

Great photos of an amazing miniature room. I recently presented my twin granddaughters with a doll house I built for them for their 10 th birthday which took me 9 months to construct, and it has no where near the detail of your basement model. Looking at your photos, I would swear they were taken in a real basement about 40 years ago.

Sorry, too neat, workshops are always messy... Seriously, great work in to this project and love the sepia feel tone.

What technique did you use to go sepia then bring out a few colors. Layers and then erase sepia forelayer? or add color to sepia?

Actually, If you knew my Step Father you would realize this is as neat as you would expect it to be...
These are actually done in the dreaded HDR. 3 exposures.. I thought it worked well in this case, although most of my work is in HDR... I brought down the color saturation to add some mood to it.... Thanks for the compliment... :)

Thank you Whuff.... :) My Grandmother owned a company that molded realistic scale items, so she knew a lot of people in the industry.. I guess she contracted the right one for this... It still amazes me every time I look at it.. I did play with these to give it the old basement feel...
