My parents spent thier honeymoon at the Hotel Frontenac in May of 1951. My mom loved to tell the story of my dad trying to order "French Fries" in Quebec....and the indignant waiter saying "Sir, French Fries, are not French".
LOL....I recently ordered Irish French Fries in Glen's Falls!
Dad wasnt very wordly, but was taking his new bride to a "fancy" restaurant...... the whole story included the drive from Connecticut to Montreal in a '49 Plymouth that needed water every 100 miles or so. . And the legend is that I am here because of a visit to the Ste. Anne de Beaupre Shrine.....LOL. Must be why I am so angelic..... LOL
Must've been a miracle!
Have driven from Stratford to Québec ...well since 1959. Settled here in '63. Somehow I don't miss Bridgeport

Well as you probably know, most people in Connecticut wish they could miss it  Sorry for diverting your thread.
No problem Rocco, I'm open to anything..pics, comments and free beer
Here is one from Quebec a few weeks ago. The roof of the chateau is being repaired and the QE II is on the right
Nice shot form the Plaines. Yes that is a copper roof..must cost a bundle.
Cruise ships are common here. I remember seeing that one, think there were five in over that weekend...Jim
Nice shots! They take me back, I really love the old town Quebec. Could not afford to stay here, but I had a lovely view of it from where I stayed. I stayed at the Chateau Bellvue.
Very cool town, and great food. It is probably the closest I will every get to France.
I really want to go back.
I live across the river and the only reason we were there was because the kids gave us a gift for our 50th wedding anniversary.
Wow, Awesome pictures and love the different colors of the buildings. Great Job
