Out on a short photo shoot yesterday and thought I would swing by one of the local rivers. As I turned onto the dirt road, I noticed these tiger lilies had opened up since the last time I drove by. As I was feeling rather lazy after a hard week at work, I have to admit I did not even get out of the car. Pulled over to the side of the road and shot out the window. I moved back and forth a few times to get the back grounds and shot 17 photos. I think the boken (is that spelled right) was really nice and added to the photos.
C/C most welcome. What could I have done to make these better?
Thanks for looking
Steve

I really like them, Steve. The second one sings a sweet tune.
Dook: Thanks for stopping by and for the nice comment. There are lots of these flowers around, but these ones had just the right sort of background.

Thanks for sharing Steve. Real nice shots for spur of the moment. Shooting flowers are so difficult to get the lighting right without setting up your lighting so not to wash out the detail.
Nice shots but why do they call them Tiger Lilies? Tigers have stripes not spots. Wouldn't they be better named Leopard Lilies?
Nice shots, really got to love that SX50.

I don't have any extra lighting gear. I have to use what is at hand, sunlight in this case.
Thanks for the comments.

Not sure why they call them tiger lilies, but I do like them.

CL: Yes, got to love my SX50. If you can believe it, I am actually reading the manual now. So many features to experiment with.
