Local graveyard

There are a number of small graveyards in our area. This one is in Bedford, NY. There are also some private, family graveyards. The fourth image is a crop of the third. There were a couple of other shots I took, but the light was poor, the camera was hand-held, and there was enough motion blur that I wouldn't use them. I'll just have to stop by there on a sunnier day, or bring my tripod.

nice, I like the original's in these, not the cropped, don't know why but I find graveyard photo's fascinating

Tom, I know there are others on UHH who share your fascination. I find them interesting when they reveal the history of an area. Last year, our local historical society had a presentation by a man who had conducted extensive research in the county. He knew many locations we weren't aware of, and also had some interesting facts about the materials and styles used at different times.

The graveyards in your area are so interesting...and beautiful. I remember visiting one on the edge of White Plains when I lived there as a child. It was really colorful in the fall.
