I think you need to store original or whatever the method is so people can work on something with greater resolution. Don't know if raw or tif can be posted here yet. Haven't cross that bridge.

First, repost the image, ticking the 'Store Original' box so we can get to the high res version.
Second, this is one of those places where a little 'fill flash' would have worked wonders and made the post processing unnecessary.

Please, please, PLEASE, post the pic again with 'Store Original'.
There are tools to do this, but they work much better on originals rather than the reduced size that shows in the messages.

Reminds me of my grandsons first birthday. We did the same thing and he smeared cake from ear to ear. Great memories you captured.
