This sculpture is at Dachau, outside of Munich. Can anyone tell what it represents?

This is the sculpture representing the Dachau Concentration Camp if I'm not mistaken. The statistics for this camp are horrendous numbers. WE are blessed!
All true, but can you study the sculpture and discover what was the inspiration for it? Hint...think about the concentration camp pictures and videos you've seen.
I took the picture on a visit to Germany in 1984.

The stacks of emaciated bodies.
Mr. Falk, you win the grand prize, an all expense paid trip to Ugly Hedgehog, via connecting flights through keyboard, motherboard, monitor and modem! Congratulations, Sir.
Dachau, although it was not an official death camp, still put to death many thousands of people the Nazi regime thought undesirable, Poles, Russians, dissidents, political prisoners, Slavs, you name it. Most were worked to death.
My guess would be the agonized bodies of the dead or dying in the camp
Utah, you are also right.

It was also the first and longest running concentration camp. I did a report on this many, many years ago because a friend of mine had relatives died there. Great challenge!!
