Taking pictures on an angle

I took a few shots on thanksgiving day at my son's farm. These two below are different to say the least. I found these shots to be interesting and it gives me ideas that some will like such pictures because they are not just the average run of the mill. They may not be the best shots but I am working on it.

This is known as "Dutch Tilt": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_angle and has been around since Matthew Brady.

Often used to add drama or "spice-up" a boring subject.

I"m surprised Rita's pies didn't slide off the counter......

Rule of thumb, If you tilt on way, the suject will tilt in the opposite direction when you look at the image.

You did it correctly with Rita. With the direction she is facing, she would have looked kinda weird if she had been tilted the other way (facing up).
