Lesson in irony.
Subject: Lesson in Irony.
This is short and to the point - a lesson in irony.
The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Dept of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and Food Stamps ever this year to 46 million people.
Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Dept of Interior, asks us "Please do not feed the animals". Their stated reason for this policy is because "The animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves".
This ends today's lesson in irony.
I heard this somewhere before but how true.
Glad I tuned in for the lesson, pounder!

I appreciate the irony. It the old give a man a fish vs teach a man to fish story. However, among the takers, users and abusers there are many good and decent people for whom the recession was devastating. For them food stamps are the life line that keeps their children from going hungry.
