Hummer photos a little better than yesterday

I just got a Sigma 150-500. Tried it out on hummers. I also used an off camera flash 2 feet from the birds. I am super-pleased with the lens and the photos showed very little ghosting.
C&C always welcome, particularly the kind that tells me how to improve.

Hummer

I appreciate the comments. I am just beginning to learn this lens and this style of photography.

Glad to be able to help. Next spring, when the males are in breeding plumage their gorget will really flash if you keep the flash as near to in line with the lens axis as you can!

Thanks for that info. I was already thinking of bird spring colors and how to capture them.

Well done. I would never have thought to use off camera flash.

Neither did I until I did a search on the web. I then put up a shot with on camera flash and learned that the ghosting could be eliminated with the off camera flash. Now I need to save up for a second flash before the spring plummage.
