Paper to print IR landscapes.

I have been experimenting with some IR photography. I am now to the point where I want to send a couple images out to someone like Mpix or Bay Photo and have them printed large like 16 x 20 to display in my office.

Is there a certain paper (metallic ???) that makes these images pop more than others ?? Has anyone printed IR images onto aluminum ??

Have you printed one each of several papers, looked at them and then gone back and ordered what looked best.

Any recommendations fellow UHH'ers ???

I would suggest have a couple of small prints done on different papers and see which you like best.

I'd call Digital Silver Imaging. They not only print, but have a service that converts cameras for IR. http://www.digitalsilverimaging.com

GC, I've seen lots of IR on metallic and it looks great. I would use it. Don't know of alluminum, but only because I have not seen it, but would probably be good also. I'm sure the alloy is way more money. If it does not improve the look a lot, then stick with the more economical metallic.
But maybe regular glossy is good enough. As has been said, do the same foto on different small samples. SS

SharpShooter, at the risk of sounding stupid, what is IR? Is it image restoring or restoration?

Here is a site of a friend who had these IR images done on dye-infused aluminum

MOAB Slickrock Metallic - AWESOME paper!! I have used several metallics but Slickrock is by far my favourite, as it's whites stay white while still giving that overall metallic pop. The whites go too grey/silver with a lot of other metallics :(
