I am not sure how to look up the possibility of an Aurora so far south. Usually, from Oregon with Kp>5 or 6 it can be seen as far south as Crater Lake. This photo was made at Lake Helen Lassen Volcanic National Park with the Big Dipper, a Perseid meteor in view and apparently the Aurora Borealis (though very faint)! There is zero light pollution there and it was a new moon. Taken 8/6/2013.
Constructive criticism appreciated.

look for x or m class flares in the centre of the sun the CME will be earth directed expect it to hit earth 2 or 3 days later
look at web page solar cycle 24 solar ham a Canadian ham called Kevin updates it . he generally has aurora predictions on there
any big sunspot groups that are active should be watched, sadly this has been the most useless sunspot cycle in 100 years.
all this from a hams point of view I might add
