I noticed he was extremely curious about everything that was going on. He clearly had free reign to go wherever he pleased and the horses just ignored him. He tagged along with the guy who was putting hay in the troughs at various points. But I did notice that the horses didn't let him near their daily quotas of the tasty kinds of feed.

They're such personable animals it's hard not to give them a treat especially when they turn those big eyes on you and turn on the charm. I'm guessing, given the location (public stables) he gets LOTS of treats just due to his cuteness and personality.
